11-Day Char Dham Itinerary

Day 1-2: Haridwar to Yamunotri

Arrive in Haridwar. Drive to Janki Chatti (7 hours). Trek to Yamunotri Temple (6 km). Holy dip in Yamuna hot springs.

Day 3-4: Gangotri Dham

Drive to Gangotri (10 hours). Visit Gangotri Temple on the banks of Bhagirathi River. Ganga Aarti in the evening.

Day 5-7: Kedarnath Dham

Drive to Gaurikund. Trek to Kedarnath (16 km). Visit the ancient Shiva temple located amidst snow-capped peaks.

Day 8-9: Badrinath Dham

Drive to Badrinath (8 hours). Visit Badrinath Temple, Tapt Kund hot springs, and Mana Village (India's last village).

Day 10-11: Return to Haridwar

Drive back to Haridwar. Evening Ganga Aarti at Har Ki Pauri. Departure.

Best Time for Char Dham Yatra

May to June and September to October. The temples open after winter in April-May and close in October-November. Avoid monsoon due to landslides.
