8-Day Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Bagdogra → Darjeeling
Arrive at Bagdogra airport. Drive to Darjeeling (3 hours). Evening walk on Mall Road.
Day 2: Darjeeling Exploration
Early morning visit to Tiger Hill for Kanchenjunga sunrise. Visit Batasia Loop, Ghoom Monastery, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute. Enjoy Darjeeling Himalayan Railway (toy train).
Day 3: Darjeeling Sightseeing
Visit tea gardens (Happy Valley, Glenburn). Tea tasting session. Japanese Peace Pagoda. Rock Garden and Barbotey Garden.
Day 4: Darjeeling to Gangtok
Scenic drive to Gangtok (5 hours) via Teesta River valley. Evening at MG Marg (pedestrian-only market street).
Day 5: Gangtok Sightseeing
Visit Rumtek Monastery, Namgyal Institute of Tibetology, Flower Exhibition Centre. Cable car ride for panoramic views.
Day 6: Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir
Day trip to Tsomgo Lake (12,400 ft) and Baba Harbhajan Singh Mandir. Yak ride. Visit Nathu La Pass (China border, permit required).
Day 7: Gangtok to Pelling
Drive to Pelling (5 hours). Visit Pemayangtse Monastery and Khecheopalri Lake. Kanchenjunga views from Pelling.
Day 8: Departure
Visit Rimbi Falls and Kanchenjunga Falls. Drive to Bagdogra for departure flight.
